Uses of Apricot

 

Apricot is used as medicine in different forms like fruit, oil, nut and flowers.

Apricot is rich in natural sugar, vitamin A, calcium, vitamin B
complex, vitamin C, riboflavin and niacin. Nut of apricot is rich in fat
and protein. It contains about 40-45% almond oil.

TREATMENT AND DOSAGE:

 
Various components of apricot are useful in curing different disorders in our body namely-


ANAEMIA:
 

Apricot is rich in Iron along with traces of calcium, thus it is very
good source to prevent anaemia. It shoots up the haemoglobin level in
our body.



CONSTIPATION:

 
High laxative content present in apricot serves as medicine for
treating constipation. Cellulose and pectin helps good bowel movements
by retaining water. 5 to 9 apricots must be consumed per day.


FEVER:

 
During the time of fever, apricot juice along with honey quenches the thirst and helps in eliminating waste from the body.

SKIN DISEASES:

 
Various skins related diseases such as scales, eczema, sun-burn and itching can be cured by apricot juice consumption.
